Entry and ring software for dog and cat clubs
ShowKeeper takes your entries, checks them against AKC, UKC, CFA and TICA class rules as you type, keeps every change on your computer, and prints the judge’s books, catalog and armbands, so a dead fairground signal doesn’t stop the day.
Free to try. $59.99 for a Weekend Pass, for one show, when you need the Entry Portal and Judge’s Book. No per-entry fees.

Step by step

Import a roster from a CSV with a header row, using common column names such as Call Name, Breed, Class and Owner.
Or key them in one at a time at the Entry Portal, where each entry is checked as you type.

What the checks say
AKC Rule (Ch 3, Sec 8): For Bred-by-Exhibitor, the owner must be a breeder of record.
AKC Rule: Dogs must be at least 6 months old to compete in Regular Classes.
UKC Junior class is for dogs 12 to under 24 months.
Eligibility: Lykoi is a CFA Provisional breed and cannot compete for Championship/Premiership awards.
A TICA registration number is required for Adult Championship and Adult Alter entries.
Rules checked as you type
Checks each entry’s age and class against AKC, UKC, CFA or TICA rules as you key it in, and flags eligibility problems before the ring.
Ages are worked out on the show date, not on the day you key the entry in.
At the ring
At the ring
At the ring, the steward checks entries in, marks them absent or excused, and moves them up a class.
In the judge’s book
The judge’s book
Judges sign the book on screen, and the class results (placements, absent and excused, cat awards) are stamped with a SHA‑256 fingerprint.
On the judge’s device, choose Judge when ShowKeeper asks who is working on it, then the show, and the Judge’s Book opens. It needs a Weekend Pass.
Verified
Verified
After judging, a master clerk checks each entry’s status and placement and marks it verified.

Ages are worked out on the show date, not on the day you key the entry in.
AKC dogs must be six months old for the regular classes, UKC Puppy, Junior and Adult each have an age band, and CFA and TICA kittens run from 4 to under 8 months.
Bred-by-Exhibitor (AKC) entries are checked: the owner has to be a breeder of record. For UKC Breeder/Handler, ShowKeeper reminds you the dog must be handled by a breeder of record or their family.
CFA Championship and Premiership entries, and TICA Adult Championship and Adult Alter entries, need a registration number.
A CFA provisional breed, such as the Lykoi, can’t be entered for Championship or Premiership awards.

Full pricing and questions“In the 1990s my family helped put on cat shows with the Rocky Mountain Cat Fanciers, on the club’s own computer. ShowKeeper is my attempt to bring that independence back: software that runs on the club’s own laptop and doesn’t take a cut of anyone’s entry fee.”
Before you ask
Yes, from a CSV file with a header row. ShowKeeper reads common column names such as Call Name, Breed, Class and Owner, and skips any column it doesn’t recognise.
No. It runs with no internet on the show laptop or tablet, and every change saves on that device as you make it. The internet is used for signing in and buying a pass.
It’s free to try: set up a show, import a roster and see the dashboard. When you need the Entry Portal and the Judge’s Book, a Weekend Pass is $59.99, one payment for one show, and lasts until the show ends. Nothing renews, and ShowKeeper takes no share of your entry fees.
They stay on your laptop. After the show, one control in Settings wipes exhibitor names, emails and phone numbers from the laptop.
AKC, UKC, CFA and TICA. ShowKeeper checks each entry’s age and class against that registry’s rules as you key it in. It’s software for your club, working alongside the registries’ own systems: it isn’t a licensed superintendent service, and it doesn’t send results to the registry for you.
For dog shows, share an online entry link. Exhibitors fill it in on any phone or computer, with no account and no app to install.
